Dr. Lesley A. Meng is a board certified medical oncologist who is highly trained in solid tumors including breast, lung, colorectal and prostate cancers as well as hematological malignancies such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia, chronic myelogenous leukemia and multiple myeloma cancers. She currently practices at Desert Springs Cancer Care located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dr. Meng completed her entire 10-year medical training through the Louisiana State University Medical Center System and relocated to Arizona in March 2006 after losing her New Orleans practice to Hurricane Katrina. She currently serves as a preceptor for Midwestern University in Glendale and Kaplan College in Phoenix and is pending appointment to the faculty of University of Arizona College of Medicine.

Her recent awards include being named one of America’s Top Oncologists for 2008 and 2009 by the Consumers’ Research Council of America, Compassionate Doctor 2009, and Arizona’s Favorite Physicians 2009. Also, Dr. Meng has been appointed as a Master of the American College of Cancer Specialists by the American Academy of Oncology and as a board member of the Arizona Board of Physician Assistants. She is proud to serve on the speakers’ bureaus for Myriad which offers genetic testing such as BRCA 1 and 2, Caris MPI which offers Target Now and Genomics which offers Oncotye DX.

Dr. Meng is the founder of the non-profit organization, My Fight For Freedom, which is dedicated to comforting, educating and supporting cancer patients, their families and friends. She is married and has two lovely children
